Burn Notice

Pilot

In the next scene Michael returns to his new apartment on the Miami River to make a fake bomb. The fake bomb is to be sent to Dan Siebels to gain a reaction/contact. This was filmed on location at 528 NW 7th Ave., Miami.

Michael then heads to Javier's house to talk to him about taking the case. For this we head back toward Madeline’s, to Maynard's (Captain Real-estate's) Island. This was filmed on location at 911 NW 7th Street Road in Miami.

Home

Michael next pays Sam a visit at the condo of Sam's "lady" friend. The condo complex is at 400 Alton Road at the south tip of Sobe. The Murano Grande Condos.

Michael meets with Barry to get a lead in finding who stole the artwork. This occurs at a small downtown cafe. Filmed on location at 146 NE 1st Street in Miami. I learned this by carefully examining the background for clues and barely making out a sign for Rosenthal Jewelers which I then looked up on line to get the address.

After a night in his new apartment where Michael receives a call from Dan Siebels his old handler, (Dan’s location is unknown but it looks like it could have been filmed inside 169 East Flagler Street. Same building we saw earlier as Michael’s bank.) and then meets Sugar. Filmed on location at 528 NW 7th Ave.

Yellow X is where Michael meets Barry.

Then Michael heads to the art dealer that Barry told him about. This was filmed at 845 Lincoln Road Mall. At least that is where the exterior set up shot was filmed. The silver Porsche is traveling south on Jefferson Ave in front of the store.

Next Michael headed back to Star Island to obtain evidence from the safe. This was filmed on location at 13 Star Island.

Then Michael goes back to Lincoln Road Mall. This time a little further east toward the beach. Here he does some cellular phone shopping. Pay attention to the white building in the background. In the two pictures below you can see that the sign on the building reads HEAR MUSIC. We will see this sign again.

Frank Sinatra connection: In Frank's Movie Tony Rome (1967) Frank goes to this exact same location outside the Lincoln Theater. He visits what was then a Jewelry store and finds that it is closed so he goes to a phone book to look up an address. That public phone was exactly where the phone vendor's cart was parked in Burn Notice.

Next Michael returns home to prepare his homemade bug.

Then Michael has dinner with Fiona. This scene was another Lincoln Road Mall location. It was filmed at 600 Lincoln Road Mall at a place called Sushi Samba Dromo. You could throw a softball from the phone vendor's location to this location.

The next day we see Michael head to the hardware store to equip himself for dealing with his Sugar problem. This was an easy location to find due to the signs on the buildings and the address on one of the buildings being clearly visible as seen in the picture below. This location is very close to where we met Barry.
